OtrigalHow free Premium works on Otrigal
Otrigal has no paid plans. You can chat for free without Premium, and you can get Premium free in two ways: invite friends, or verify your college. There is no card to enter and no trial that turns into a charge. Here is how each one works.
What Premium gives you
The main feature is "Match with", which lets you choose to match with Everyone, Male, Female or Other. Without Premium, you match with everyone. You do not need Premium to use video chat, text chat, skip, report or block.
Keep in mind that gender is self-declared, so the filter relies on what people say about themselves, and narrowing your matches can mean a longer wait. See how matching works.
Way 1: invite friends
You get a personal invite link on the Premium page once you sign in.

When does a friend count?
- They open your link and sign in with a new account, made in the last 2 days.
- Each friend counts once.
- You cannot invite yourself. Please do not make extra accounts.
Why might a friend not count?
- They already had an Otrigal account.
- They opened your link in one browser and signed up in another, or in an app's built-in browser. Ask them to open the link in Chrome or Safari, and to sign up there.
- They signed up on a different device from the one they opened your link on.
Otrigal is for adults 18 and over, so please only invite adults. If a friend who should count has not, write to support.
Way 2: verify your college
Students get their first month of Premium free. On the college page, you can verify in one of two ways:
- With your college email, by entering a code we send you.
- With a photo of your student ID, which our team reviews, so it can take longer.
Once you are verified, your college also joins the leaderboard. After your free month, you can keep Premium by inviting friends. If there is a problem, write to support.

When Premium ends
Nothing is charged, because no card was ever involved. Your "Match with" setting simply goes back to Everyone, and you can keep chatting as before. Invite more friends any time to get Premium again.
Why is it free?
A random chat works better when more people are online, since matches come faster. Invites and college verification help us grow, so we would rather give Premium to people who help with that than charge for it. It is a plain trade, and that is all there is to it.
Be careful with "free Premium" offers elsewhere
The only ways to get Premium are the two above, both on otrigal.com. Nobody in a chat can give it to you, and we will never ask for your password, OTP or card. If someone offers you free Premium in exchange for your login, it is a scam. Read how to spot bots and scams.

Is Otrigal really free?
Yes. Chatting is free, there are no paid plans, and Premium is free through invites or college verification.
How many friends do I need to invite?
3 friends give you 7 days of Premium. 5 friends give you 1 month, and every 5 more friends give you another month.
Why did my friend not count?
A friend counts only if they used your link to make a new account within the last 2 days. Using a different browser or device can also lose the link.
Do I need Premium to chat?
No. Video chat, text chat, skip, report and block all work without Premium.
What happens when my Premium ends?
Your Match with setting goes back to Everyone. You are never charged. You can invite more friends to get it again.
